Their phone opens your pet’s page: name, photo, breed, allergies — and, if you chose to show it, your number to call.
You get the message
Where they are, how to reach them, and a pinned map location — emailed to you the second they send it.
🔒 Your details stay yours
The tag carries a random link and nothing else. Your name, address and email are never on it. Your phone number appears only if you switch it on — and you can switch it off again at any time.

The practical bits
Does the finder need an app?
No. Every iPhone since the XR and almost every Android reads NFC from the lock screen. If their phone won’t, the printed QR on the back does the same job.
Does it track my pet?
No — and no tag this small can. NFC has no battery and no GPS; it works when someone taps it. What you get is the finder’s location, which is the one that matters.
Does it replace the microchip?
No. A microchip is permanent and read by vets; a tag is read by the person standing over your pet in the street. Keep both — they solve the first hour and the first week respectively.
